We started the day at Sarah and Stuart’s family home in Hemel Hempstead. The house was packed with animals and humans alike. We have never seen so many people at bridal preparations but it made such a wonderful and joyous atmosphere. All three of their gorgeous rescue dogs were sporting bow ties for the special occasion, which was totally adorable.
Capturing the unique atmosphere at Essendon Country Club
The ceremony and wedding reception were held at Essendon Country Club in the Grand Barn. And grand it was… A unique 16th century barn set over two levels, and quite bright considering all the beautiful oak beams.
This wedding definitely wins the “most kisses during ceremony” award. The new Mr and Mrs to be couldn’t keep their hands (or lips!) off each other. Such an emotional ceremony and not a dry eye in the house.
After the wedding breakfast and hilarious speeches, we whisked the loved up couple away for some private time. The 400 acres of lush green grounds provided a gorgeous backdrop for some bride and groom portraits – the staple of any wedding photography portfolio, of course. It was a gorgeous evening and we were able to take advantage of the radiant golden light.
Next up… cutting the cake. The newlyweds had a fantastically detailed cake. It told the story of how they met on a train and was decorated with toppers of the whole family, dogs included.
The first dance was so lovely and after a couple of minutes they had their daughters join them.
What an amazing day, Sarah and Stuart are truly made for each other. Much peace and happiness to you two beauts! 😀
