Steph was with Ryan and his groomsmen at St Michaels Manor Hotel, St Albans, whilst they prepared for the big day ahead.
We arrived at the St. John’s Methodist Church, Potters Bar to an amazing bagpipe player who really emphasised the Scottish theme throughout! The bridesmaids arrived first, and then Hannah and super proud Dad. Hannah looked so elegant, and had the biggest grin on her face the whole time, which was just delightful. We were quite limited as to where we could stand and take photos throughout the ceremony. It would have been great to have a bit more freedom but every church is different and has their own house rules, which we have to respect.
After the ceremony it was time to go to St. Michaels Manor Hotel for the wedding reception. The guests had the pleasure of embarking on a traditional red London bus (provided by Timebus) to the reception, whilst Hannah and Ryan departed in a beautiful vintage car. Once we arrived at the hotel, we used this time before all the guests arrived, to go off and take some stunning photos of Hannah and Ryan together around the grounds.
It was soon time to crack on with the speeches, and they certainly did not disappoint! Constant laughter and smiles, although Ryan took a giant bashing from the Best Man, it couldn’t have been better!
The evening really took off! After the first dance EVERYONE joined the new Mr & Mrs on the middle of the dance floor and it was just awesome! Everyone must have been bursting to dance all day! During the day we like to be unobtrusive but for the evening we like to get right in there, in the middle of all the action to capture all the fun. It didn’t stop, the band did a brilliant job of keeping the dancefloor alive. There was also a ceilidh band, which did not disappoint! So full of energy, and everyone got involved, exactly the kind of evening we love to photograph.
This truly was an amazing wedding, and we are so glad we were able to capture the whole day, from start right until the crazy dance moves! Thanks again so much to Hannah and Ryan, we had a blast!
