Kandee and Jack’s beautiful wedding at Offley Place Country House Hotel, Hertfordshire
We started the day at one of the Bridesmaid’s home, a magnificent mansion in the Bedfordshire countryside. The house was packed with…everything, so many antiques with a story to tell. Unfortunately and understandably the owner did not want us taking “storytelling and detail shots inside the house. Both Kandee and Jack were getting ready in separate parts of the house, which was great as we were both able to flick between the two.
Capturing the unique atmosphere at Offley Place, Hitchin
Kandee and her bridesmaids finished getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite at Offley Place Country House Hotel, Hitchin, where the ceremony and wedding reception were to be held. Offley Place is a gorgeous 17th century manor house, with a lovely fresh conservatory and acres of garden including a stunning rose garden.
Before the ceremony it looked like it might rain, but fortunately it held off, which meant the happy couple could say their ‘I do’s’ outside. The awesome clouds made for a very dramatic backdrop!
Offley Place was decorated with beautiful props (supplied by Fleur de Lace) and elegant flowers (supplied by Petal & Bow).
During the drinks reception, there was a vintage ice cream van supplied by Ice Baby, which was a big hit with everyone. There were also some lawn games which provided endless fun and entertainment.
The newlyweds didn’t want to spend too long away from their guests in one go, so we split the couple portraits session into two, this meant we were also able to take advantage of the light later on. Kandee and Jack were complete naturals in front of the camera 😀
During the evening celebrations there was a sparkler tunnel, which is always fun to do (part from when my hair almost sets alight! :-/ ) If you are thinking of having a sparkler exit, make sure you order EXTRA LONG sparklers 😀 Apart from the DJ, there was also a saxophonist Tyler Rix, who was epic, very talented guy, pretty kind on the eye too (just a bonus! ;-P )
What a brilliant day – awesome couple, brilliant venue, lovely guests – magic
